Very rich in history and very rich in wine, the new Winery at La Grange opened September 2006 as Prince William County's only established winery.  The red brick three and a half story La Grange manor house built in the 1790's has survived numerous owners and finally has come to rest with an unique group of investors brought together by Chris Pearmund.  While the 5,500 Cabernet Sauvignon vines grow silently, the manor house is completely refurbished, new Winery building is ready and wine is aging.

The Winery at La Grange's current inventory of 5,500 cases of wine include: Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Viognier, Rosé of Merlot, Cuvee Blanc, Norton, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Meritage, Tannat, Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon and a Port styled wine called Snort.

Our Winemaker, That's What's New!!

There is much to be excited about these days at La Grange, not least of which is the arrival of our new winemaker, Jef Stebben. Jef is coming to us from Napa, California with a B.S. Fermentation Science degree from U.C. Davis and 15 years experience as a winemaker.

Drop by the winery and meet Jef. He’ll talk about his experiences in California, his winemaking philosophy and his plans for La Grange. He’ll also answer your questions and maybe he’ll have some questions for you! This is a big move for Jef, a lifetime in California and now he finds himself all the way on the east-coast. We want him to learn what’s so special about Virginia and Virginia wine from the people that know it best!

The wait is finally over. Our famous Sangria bar opens again starting Saturday May 23rd.

We'll be serving up icy pitchers of the best treat for miles around, all day every Saturday and Sunday! Come see what all of the fuss is about!!
