Winemaker, The Winery at La Grange
After nearly eight months of long days and nights of construction, and with the hands-on help of many of the investors we opened to the public on Labor Day weekend in 2006, and I was named General Manager while construction continued into 2007. When the construction was complete I elected to return to wholesaling and importing Spanish wine, leaving La Grange as my favorite Virginia winery. I continued to visit though, in fact in March 2008, my fiancé and I were married here in the barrel room.
Wine Club Director
Katie was born and raised in upstate New York, though quickly opted for the warmer clime of Virginia by attending Virginia Tech. After graduating with a bachelors degree in Animal Science in 2006, Katie moved up to Warrenton, VA and spent the next 6 years working on a thoroughbred breeding farm. Katie joined the La Grange team in early 2012 as a pourer and moved up to managing the Benoni Reserve Wine Club. Outside from the obvious hobby of continuing her wine education, Katie can be found outside the winery hiking the local region with her two rescue dogs, Chico and Jetta!
