Our Barrel Club
Becoming a Barrel Owner
Every year The Winery at La Grange purchases new American, French and Hungarian wine barrels to incorporate into our winemaking program. Newly purchased wine barrels will arrive in US mid to late summer and are filled with wine a few months later, as soon as we’ve harvested and processed our wine grapes. As a member of our Barrel Club, you enable us to purchase and use these wine barrels to create our delicious wine portfolio. As a thank you for your investment in our winery and loyalty to our wines, we offer Barrel Club members a number of specific benefits:
- Two free tastings OR two free glasses of wine per membership whenever you visit the winery
- Two cases (24 bottles) of wine that the member picks out from our list of currently available wines that are priced $60 or lower
- Exclusive access to purchase futures of barrel sample wines that you taste at Benoni’s Reserve Wine Club events
- Customized Barrel Plaque
- You get to take your (empty) barrel home with you after 4 years when the winery has finished using it for winemaking purposes
Terms & Conditions
To join The Barrel Club at The Winery at La Grange there is a one-time, $1,200 Membership Fee. Your benefits start immediately upon The Winery at La Grange receiving this payment and continue until December 31st, 2020. Your customized barrel plaque will be placed upon your barrel, in our barrel room, within 60 days of us receiving written notice of what the member wants to be on their plaque. The Winery at La Grange will select which barrel your plaque is placed upon as well as decide how your barrel will be used in the winemaking process.
Membership in the Barrel Club is contingent upon membership in the Benoni’s Reserve Wine Club. If at any time membership in the Benoni’s Reserve Wine Club becomes inactive due to a non-payment then the benefits associated with the Barrel Club will be suspended until membership in the Benoni’s Reserve Wine Club becomes reactivated. If cancellation of the Benoni’s Reserve Wine Club Membership occurs then the Barrel Owner will forfeit their two free tastings or two free glasses as well as access to purchase futures of barrel sample wines. If the Barrel Owner has any bottles remaining to pick up the Winery will choose those for them based on the Barrel Owners preferences and excluding any Wine Club label wines, The Winery will notify the Barrel Owner when the wine is available to pick up. The Barrel Owner has 90 days from first notification to pick up their wine or contact the Winery about the remaining bottles, after which those bottles are forfeited.
At the conclusion of the 4 years of membership the Barrel Owner will be notified when their barrel is ready to be picked up and will have 90 days to pick up their barrel or contact the Winery after which their rights to their barrel are forfeited.
