| Wonderful Memories at La Grange |
|
by Jim Barratt, Partner |
|
Recently my wife arranged a surprise birthday dinner for me at the Winery at La Grange. We were joined by 18 friends and neighbors and it made for a most memorable occasion. Guests were greeted by light appetizers on the patio along with some refreshing Pinot Grigio. The weather was perfect as our guests mingled and took tours of the Manor House and the Barrel Room.
We eventually settled into a long table with an elegant tablecloth and chairs next to the outdoor fireplace patio. We then enjoyed a delicious five course meal where each course was paired with a wine from La Grange or Pearmund Cellars. The winery staff had worked with my wife and the caterer to design the menu and wine pairings. The staff served the food and wine and addressed any questions that our guests had regarding the various wines and winemaking. As the sun slowly set over the nearby hills, the atmosphere was perfect with friends laughing, sumptuous food and wine flowing, and an outdoor landscape that reminded me of an elegant Tuscan vineyard picnic. After dessert, each guest was presented with a La Grange wine glass as a keepsake and a reminder of the wonderful experience that we all had shared.
I look forward to the next opportunity to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, or other occasion with family and friends at the Winery at La Grange |

| Reserve Wines at the Winery |
We've released three very special wines for you.
Each of these Reserve wines has been aged 20 months in French and American Oak and each is 100% of its varietal. $29 per bottle, get them while they last!
2005 Reserve Cabernet Franc
An austere, medium bodied wine with spicy aromas and earthen and herbal flavors.
2005 Reserve Petit Verdot
A well rounded, rustic wine with black fruit flavors. Good Tannin structure lead this wine to a very smooth finish.
2005 Cabernet Sauvignon
Fruity aromas with rich layers of red fruit round out this very complex, well rounded varietal wine. The house favorite! | |
