Join Barrel Club for 2007
The Winery at La Grange is offering interested parties the opportunity to own a wine barrel at the new winery. This is similar to barrel program offered when the winery opened for 2006. First mixed case of wine in September 2008.
The number of wine barrels is limited to 32 this year, all have been reserved.
Barrel Club Information
- Cost is $1,000 +tax
- Specially crafted barrels by Vicard Tonnelleries of France with winery name and special detailing
- Etched plaque with your name or dedication
- Barrels will arrive in the mid-summer 2007 and be put on display before being filled with the year's grape harvest in September
- Annual Spring tasting from yours and other barrels for 4 years as the wine reaches maturity before bottling, starting in 2008 at The Winery at La Grange.
- Mixed case of wine from each vintage year after bottling, total of four cases. First case September 2008 (2007 Vintage), remaining cases September 2009 (2008 Vintage), 2010 (2009 Vintage), September 2011 (2010 Vintage). Approximately $200 value per case; total of 48 bottles.
- You get to keep the barrel after the last bottling in September 2011.
- Limited production jeroboam (3 liter bottle) of The Winery at La Grange's Meritage-styled wine, autographed by owner and winemaker, Chris Pearmund in December 2007.
- No tasting fees in the tasting room immediately upon payment and while your barrel is in use (4 years), at The Winery at La Grange.

Vicard Tonnelleries is a family owned and operated cooperage in Cognac with an annual production of over 30,000 barrels. Their barrels are sold all over the world and are especially in demand by producers of red wine, particularly Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. The Vicard cooperage is run by Mr. Jean Vicard, Director and Owner, recipient of the distinguished "Meilleur Ouvrier de France" award, and his two sons Jean Louis, Export and Sales Manager, and Jean Charles, Quality Control Manager.
